Every cut is a lie. It’s never that way. Those two shots were never next to each other in time that way. But you’re telling a lie in order to tell the truth. –Wolf Koenig.

EDGE OF DREAMING – a riveting story about a woman and her dream

August 24, 2010 , , , , ,

What if you had a dream that came true and then you had another dream and you learned that you were going to die. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

One night filmmaker Amy Hardie dreamed that her beloved horse, George, had died. She awoke and was horrified to find that the dream had come true. Not long after that, Hardie dreamed she would die at age 48. Hardie’s 48th birthday was around the corner, thus began a frightening year for the artist, wife and mother, who set out to discover what causes dreams and whether they can really predict the future. The result was ‘The Edge of Dreaming’, an evocative, intimate chronicle of that year and a fascinating investigation into the human subconscious.

The Edge of Dreaming airs tonight at 10:0o p.m. E.T. on PBS.

It will also be available online from August 25 to November 24, 2010.
